Jatoba Bowl — 13″ Golden Shimmer Edition — One‑of‑One

$625.00

This handcrafted Jatoba bowl features deep red‑bronze tones, glowing golden shimmer, and a powerful sculptural presence. Individually shaped by artisan Ben Balzer, this 13″ centerpiece blends warmth, clarity, and exceptional density in one of the most substantial Jatoba forms produced at Talking Wood Studio.

Jatoba — Dense, Glowing, and Naturally Dramatic Jatoba is known for its rich reddish‑bronze palette and glassy chatoyance. In this Golden Shimmer Edition, the grain reflects warm amber‑gold highlights across the surface, creating a molten, horizon‑like glow. The effect is bold, radiant, and quietly luxurious.

Figure & Grain Highlights Golden shimmer chatoyance — glassy, glowing movement under light. Deep red‑bronze heartwood with warm amber undertones. Large 13.2″ diameter — commanding centerpiece scale. Tall 3.5″ profile — elegant sculptural lift. Heavy 4.9 lb weight — dense, grounding presence. Clean, uninterrupted grain field — refined and consistent. This bowl reads like molten bronze — glowing, grounded, and richly dimensional.

Bought it as a Christmas gift for my wife. She adores it and is placed where everyone can see it. It has done everything from a decorative piece to candy bowl. Looks great and it's functional. Couldn't be happier with it.
