This Spalted Flame Maple bowl was shaped to show off its gorgeous grain pattern. I shaped the foot of the bowl to highlight the grain and spalting as it curves up the side. The inside of the bowl has a nice quartersawn grain pattern. The upper rim is a joy to view as it glistens in the light.
