Flame Maple Bowl — 15″ — Radiant Sunburst Edition — One of One

$825.00

This Flame Maple bowl showcases a radiant sunburst flame pattern — long, glowing ribbons of chatoyance that expand outward like sunlight across the surface. Individually shaped by artisan Ben Balzer, this one‑of‑a‑kind bowl blends scale, clarity, and motion into a dramatic 15″ centerpiece.

Flame Maple — Expansive, Luminous, and Alive Flame Maple is prized for its ribboned figure, but sunburst flame is a premium variant where the flame radiates outward in widening arcs. This bowl displays clean, continuous flame expansion, glowing under directional light and creating a dynamic, kinetic surface.

Figure & Grain Highlights The flame lines sweep outward with clarity and contrast, shifting from bright gold to warm amber. The wide, shallow form amplifies the sunburst effect, giving the bowl a radiant, expanding motion that feels alive as it turns in the hand.

Artisan Craftsmanship Every Talking Wood Studio bowl is shaped one at a time by artisan Ben Balzer. This piece was refined through progressive hand sanding, cured oils, and a full Beall Buffing System, resulting in a glass‑smooth surface that amplifies the flame figure. No mass production. No duplicates. No second editions.

Why This Piece Is Exceptional • Flame Maple — radiant sunburst flame with strong chatoyance • Dynamic visual behavior — flame glows and shifts with angle and lighting • Wide sculptural form — enhances the expanding sunburst pattern • Collector level clarity — sunburst flame at this scale is uncommon • One of a kind — no other bowl will share this exact flame pattern • Functional heirloom — display, serve, or gift with confidence
