Spalted Flame Maple Bowl — 10″ Highly Figured Dancing Grain Edition — One of One

$375.00

This Master Grade Spalted Flame Maple bowl is a kinetic visual piece — its grain, spalting, and color transitions appear to move as the light shifts. At 10″, it is a wide, elegant form with unusually complex figure for its size, creating a sense of motion and depth that rewards close viewing.

Spalted Flame Maple — Dynamic, Expressive, and Full of Motion Spalted Flame Maple combines two dramatic visual forces: holographic flame figure and organic spalting lines. This bowl displays a Dancing Grain pattern, where flame and spalting interact to create a lively, animated surface. The effect is bold, expressive, and unmistakably premium.

Figure & Grain Highlights • Highly figured flame — strong movement across the surface • Expressive spalting — natural dark lines adding contrast • Dynamic visual behavior — colors and patterns shift with the light • Wide 9.6″ diameter — ideal for centerpieces and display • Lightweight at 1.1 lbs — refined and easy to position • Luminous interior — subtle chatoyance under warm lighting

Artisan Craftsmanship Every Talking Wood Studio bowl is shaped one at a time by artisan Ben Balzer. This piece was refined through progressive hand sanding, cured oils, and the full Beall Buffing System, resulting in a glass‑smooth surface that amplifies both flame and spalting. No mass production. No duplicates. No second editions.
