$925.00

This handcrafted Master Grade Figured Bubinga bowl showcases dramatic African Rosewood figure, warm reddish‑brown tones, and sculpted exterior curves that enhance the natural movement of the grain. Individually shaped by artisan Ben Balzer, this 14″ centerpiece blends warmth, clarity, and expressive grain flow in one of the most visually striking Bubinga forms produced at Talking Wood Studio.

African Rosewood (Bubinga) — Expressive, Warm, and Naturally Dramatic Bubinga is prized for its bold figure, deep reddish‑brown palette, and glowing luster. This bowl displays a signature horizon pattern, where the grain flows across the surface with depth and movement, creating a dynamic, flame‑like presence that feels alive under shifting light. The effect is warm, dramatic, and unmistakably premium.

Figure & Grain Highlights Highly figured Bubinga produces bold, expressive grain with natural contrast. Warm reddish‑brown heartwood glows under changing light. The large 14.3″ diameter creates commanding centerpiece scale, while sculpted exterior curves enhance grain movement. The balanced shallow form highlights the figure beautifully, and the substantial 3.6 lb weight gives the bowl a grounded, refined presence. A clean, uninterrupted grain field completes the presentation.

Artisan Craftsmanship Every Talking Wood Studio bowl is shaped one at a time by artisan Ben Balzer. This piece was refined through progressive hand‑sanding, cured oils, and the full Beall Buffing System, resulting in a glass‑smooth surface that highlights the natural glow of African Rosewood. No mass production. No duplicates. No second editions.
