Garden & Gun Inaugural Winter Market

Garden & Gun Inaugural Winter Market

Talking Wood Studio is proud to be selected to participate in Garden & Gun Magazine’s Inaugural Winter Market G&G Winter Market!.  The market has been created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Garden & Gun Magazine’s Made in the South Awards.  In 2023, Talking Wood Studio was selected as the Winner in the Home category https://gardenandgun.com/feature/meet-the-winners-of-the-2023-made-in-the-south-awards/ for our one-of-a-kind decorative wooden bowls.  Each piece starts in the studio as a rough, untouched gem, then shaped to showcase its unique characteristics and hand-finished through a twelve-step process to bring out its vibrant colors and intricate grain patterns. The heirloom pieces are designed to be cherished and passed down through generations.  Our bowls sit in the center of some of the world’s finest tables.

While our bowls do not talk, they have started many rich conversations.  Imagine the reaction of your guests as they first gaze upon the gem centering your table.  Our bowls are icebreakers that get the conversation engaged.

We have spent the summer in the studio creating dozens of fantastic bowls that will be featured at G&G’s Winter Market.  We will have bowls created in American Elm, Big Leaf Maple, Black Limba, Black Walnut, Bubinga, Chestnut, Curupay, London Plane, Quilted Maple, Flame Maple, Etimoe, Ebiara, Magnolia, Pomelle Sapele, Purpleheart, Rainbow Poplar, Ribbon Sapele, Slivery Red Elm, Spalted Silver Maple, Spalted Flame Maple, Tulip Poplar and Zebrawood.

The Winter Market will be held at Garden & Gun Magazine Headquarters located at 701 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29403 from November 22-24, 2024. The Market will be open from 10AM – 5PM Friday and Saturday. Sunday from 12 – 4PM.  There will be 25+ prior Award Winners and Runner Ups.  Please come and enjoy the Market and the City of Charleston.

All our bowls are also available for purchase at https://talkingwoodstudio.com.  For those who plan to attend, look forward to seeing you at the Market.
